The absence of the 54-year-old actress, known for her role in “The Parent Trap,” was announced by host Alfonso ribeiro during the live broadcast. According to reports, Hendrix experienced discomfort during a practice session earlier in the day.
Rehearsal Incident Leads to Medical Attention
Video footage from tuesday morning’s rehearsal revealed Hendrix visibly in pain, complaining of discomfort in her rib area while working with her professional partner, Alan Bersten. She was subsequently transported from the ballroom via gurney and ambulance for medical evaluation.
despite the injury, judges opted to score Hendrix based on her last full rehearsal performance, awarding her a 32 out of 40. This allowed her to avoid automatic elimination and remain a contender on the show.
Positive Prognosis and Return to Competition
Bersten confirmed following the scoring that he had spoken with Hendrix and that she is “doing well” and “excited to get back in the ballroom.” Ribeiro further announced that medical professionals have given Hendrix the green light to continue competing, having survived Tuesday’s elimination round.
