The American channel NBC has enlisted the services of a very special kind of reporter for the 2024 Paris Olympics (July 26-August 11)… Indeed, American rapper Snoop Dogg, 52, will be dispatched to the capital, with the mission of delivering reports on the Olympic Primetime Show.
The rapper noted his presence in Paris in a promotional video “Snoop Year’s Eve” broadcast on X (formerly Twitter), in which he appears in the company of several American Olympic athletes, such as gymnast Suni Lee , basketball player A’ja Wilson, skateboarder Jagger Eaton and beach volleyball pair Kelly Cheng and Sara Hughes.
As a way of updating himself seven months before the deadline, Snoop Dogg talks in a relaxed mode with the athletes, about the Games and their respective disciplines.
“Throughout the Games, Snoop will speak with NBC Olympics host Mike Tirico and bring his unique perspective on what’s happening in Paris to America’s broad primetime audience. He will explore the city’s iconic landmarks, attend Olympic competitions and events, and visit athletes, their friends and families,” the channel said in a statement.

The rapper said he “grew up watching the Olympic Games” and said he was looking forward to the start of the competitions. “I am delighted to see these incredible athletes giving their all in Paris. It is a celebration of skill, dedication and the pursuit of greatness. We’re going to see some amazing competitions and, of course, I’ll be bringing Snoop style to the mix. Snoop Dogg is not at his first Olympics. At the Tokyo Olympics in 2021, he took part in a horse riding event, alongside actor Kevin Hart for a sequence viewed more than two million times on YouTube.
