The Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs has asked to strengthen Rohingya repatriation.

On Sunday (May 12), the 2nd meeting of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs of the 12th Parliament was held in the seminar room of the Refugee Relief and Repatriation Commissioner of Cox’s Bazar. The meeting was chaired by the chairman of the committee. Who is Abdul Momen?

Committee member and Foreign Minister Mohammad Hasan Mahmud participated in the meeting. Zahid Ahsan Russell, Nahim Razzaq, Nurul Islam Nahid, Habibur Rahman, Saimum Sarwar Kamal and Zara Zabeen Mahbub.

At the beginning of the meeting the minutes of the first meeting were confirmed and the introduction of the members present in the meeting was held.

Discussions were held with UNHCR, RRRC, local administration, NGOs and Rohingya representatives. The peaceful process of repatriation of Rohingya to Myanmar is comprehensively reviewed.

The meeting discussed the analysis of the overall situation of the Rohingyas and the steps to be taken to strengthen the repatriation process.

The meeting was attended by senior secretaries of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, senior officials of the Ministry, security forces and senior officials of the Parliament Secretariat.
