Pawan Kalyan with the remake of the movie ‘Teri’; Fans chanted suicide

The actor’s fans have now come forward against the new film starring Telugu superstar Pawan Kalyan. The fans started reacting like this when there were rumors that the new film is a remake of Vijay’s Tamil film Teri directed by Atlee.

Fans say they want the original movie, not remakes. Director Harish Shankar gave a hint about his new film on his Twitter page last day.

He tweeted a scene from a Telugu film starring actor Brahmanandam. The video shows a group of people coming behind the actor walking in slow motion carrying a huge cutout of Pawan Kalyan in the garb of a policeman. The director also wrote below the video that ‘a big surprise is coming’.

After this, the news spread that Pawan Kalyan’s next film is a police role and it is a remake of the movie Theri. Fans immediately took to the news on social media and came forward with objections. Fans also say that if the plan is to make a remake of Theri, then they don’t want that movie.

There are fans who have written to the director saying that if the decision is made to remake it, they will commit suicide. The letter also mentions the producers Maitri Movie Makers. Fans are protesting on Twitter with the hashtag ‘We Don’t Want Teri Remake’.

The Telugu dubbed version of the movie was also released when Theri was released. The film has also appeared in OTT and several times on TV. Pawan Kalyantoi’s last release ‘Bhimla Nayak’ was a remake of the movie ‘Ayyappanum Koshyum’.
