jpnn.comJAKARTA – Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional West Java (JBB) took firm action regarding the discovery of additional switch devices at 3 of the total 8 gas station dispensers at 34.41345 Jakarta – Cikampek Toll Road, Rest Area KM 42, Wanasari, Telukjambe Barat, Karawang, West Java.
Pertamina immediately issued the first and final warning letter.
Area Manager Communication, Relations & CSR for West Java Regional Pertamina Patra Niaga, Eko Kristiawan, said he immediately instructed to immediately replace the 3 dispensers with new ones no later than two weeks after the issuance of the Sanction Letter from Pertamina Patra Niaga to gas stations.
He said that the problematic dispenser as a result of field checks by officers from the Metrology Directorate of the Indonesian Ministry of Trade in preparation for the 2024 Ramadan & Idul Fitri Task Force (RAFI) still had a Tera Metrology certificate which was valid until February 13 2025.
According to him, the sanctions given by Pertamina to gas stations are in accordance with those stated in the contract agreement between Pertamina and gas stations.
In the attachment to contract sanctions for types of operational violations in point number 10, it is stated that gas stations can be given sanctions if they carry out “engineering by using other tools/methods to change meters.
“The sanction given is the first and final warning letter, accompanied by a temporary suspension of the gas station for a minimum of 1 (one) month and Pertamina can take over the management of the gas station, as well as being subject to a fine of Rp. 25/liter for all fuel products multiplied by the average monthly turnover of 3 the last (three) months,” he said.
“If the gas station cannot implement the provisions in the sanctions given by Pertamina, the gas station will be given even stricter sanctions,” continued Eko.
