Public sector oil companies have hiked petrol and diesel prices by 80 paise each on Friday for the third day in a row.
Petrol and diesel prices, which had not been raised for a long time, have been steadily rising after the 5 state polls. This is the third price hike announced in the last four days. Petrol and diesel prices were hiked by 80 paise on Friday.
Following this, the price of a liter of petrol in Delhi went up from Rs 97.01 to Rs 97.81 and diesel from Rs 88.27 to Rs 89.07 per liter.
Petrol and diesel prices, which started rising on March 22, have been hiked by Rs 2.40 per liter after three hikes.
