Thiruvananthapuram: The 16-day PG Doctors’ Strike in Medical Colleges in the state has been called off. The strike was called off on the basis of assurances received from the CM’s office.

Everyone goes to work from eight in the morning. The doctors said they had received assurances that more junior doctors would be appointed and any deficiencies in the stipend would be rectified. KMPGA will submit a detailed petition to the government regarding the workload. The health minister had also promised to appoint a committee to study the matter and ensure that the residency manual is implemented. As a result of the strike, 307 junior doctors have already been appointed on a temporary basis.
