Meanwhile, PG doctors have decided to continue the boycott of the OP ward.
PG doctors have been on strike for five days, boycotting emergency duties. There is hope in the discussion with the health minister last day. Following this, the emergency department withdrew the boycott strike and decided to resume duty. However, the association said the strike would continue until the demands were fully met.

Talks are on again today with senior health officials. The PG doctors said they hoped the discussion would resolve the issue. The discussion is at twelve o’clock in the afternoon. In the discussions with the Minister of Health, the bureaucrats’ meeting was held in the absence of consensus on the need to increase the stipend, appoint more non-academic resident doctors and thus reduce the workload of PG doctors. The protesters demanded that the government provide written clarification on the demands.
The minister had assured that the demands of the protesters would be considered sympathetically. The minister assured that a committee would be appointed to look into the workload of doctors and follow the residency manuals in medical colleges.
