The airport authorities informed the CM’s security officials that three persons had taken suspicious tickets on the flight from Kannur to Thiruvananthapuram. The purpose of the trip was to go to the RCC for treatment. Security officials informed the Chief Minister about this. However, the CM said that nothing would happen inside the plane and those traveling with tickets to go to the RCC should not be barred.

On his return to Thiruvananthapuram, the Chief Minister was questioned by senior CPM leaders about the incident. The CM had explained things to them. The CM told the leaders that he knew that three Youth Congressmen had boarded the plane with tickets.

During the landing at Thiruvananthapuram, another passenger on the plane, EP Jayarajan, beat the Youth Congress activists described above, strangled them, forcibly grabbed them, knocked them to the seat of the plane and then to the platform. Youth Congress activists Farsin Majeed and Naveen Kumar sustained head, neck and chest injuries as a result of this act, ”the complaint said.
