Life imprisonment was the unanimous punishment of justice for Roula Pispirigou who had earlier been unanimously declared guilty of premeditated murder against her first-born daughter Georgina.
Judges and juries were not convinced that the accused is innocent and found her guilty of the heinous act against her child.

99 meetings
After 99 meetings, the president of the Joint Jury Court of Athens, Marina Evangelou, declared the end of the meeting with accused Roula Pispirigou, who was unanimously sentenced to life imprisonment for the crime of homicide against her first-born daughter Georgina.
“Mrs defendant you can file an appeal and be judged by a higher court” said the president to the defendant with Rula Pispirigou calmly replying “I have already filed”.
Earlier, the court unanimously rejected all of Roulas Pispirigou’s requests to transmit the trial records to the prosecution in order to initiate the perjury process for various prosecution witnesses.
How did Pispirigou react to hearing the decision
The decision on her guilt was read out in a crowded room with the accused having her family by her side.
At the back of the room were her ex-husband Manos Daskalakis and his father to hear the court’s decision.
Roula Pispirigou seems to have calmly listened to the verdict on her guilt.
Her defense counsel reiterated that the defendant is innocent and did not submit a request for recognition of mitigating factors against her.
