BNP‘s acting chairman, Tariq Rahman, has claimed that the ‍people of Bangladesh have witnessed newfound⁣ freedom in 2024 thanks to the student movement. He emphasized that anyone who‍ attempts to ⁣tarnish the reputation of the BNP or create chaos will be held accountable by the ‌law.

Tariq⁢ Rahman issued this order in a video message to party leaders on‌ Thursday (August 8).

He clarified that the police are not the enemy, emphasizing that ⁢it was Sheikh Hasina, who was elected ⁢without a vote, who compelled⁣ the police to ⁣stand against the people. He alleged that after her escape, a faction within the police is attempting to demoralize the force and create instability.

Rahman further claimed‌ that there is a conspiracy to ⁢undermine Bangladesh’s achievements. He stressed the importance of upholding security above all social and political affiliations, urging people to stand together as a united front to ensure the safety of all.

He explicitly warned anyone who ‍attempts to commit wrongdoing in the name of the ‍BNP‍ to be held accountable by ⁤the law. He emphasized that no one‍ should take the law into⁤ their own hands or impose their own judgments.

Rahman concluded by⁣ expressing his belief that a united Bangladesh can build‍ a‌ safe ⁣and secure future for⁤ its youth. He emphasized that all citizens share one⁢ identity – that of Bangladeshis.
