Military of the PMR (Military Road Police), identified as Cabo Fernandes, was seriously injured, this Wednesday afternoon (9), after being involved in an accident with the car he was driving on the MS-112, between the cities of Inocência and Cassilandia.
According to information provided by the corporation’s press office, two military personnel were in the vehicle to provide support in an accident that occurred on the same highway.
It is not yet known what the causes are, but the vehicle collided head-on with a truck, which was going in the opposite direction. Corporal Fernandes, who was driving the vehicle, tried to avoid the crash, but the impact happened precisely on the side he was on. The truck stopped on the side of the highway.
The soldier was rescued in serious condition and is being brought by a Mobile ICU to Santa Casa de Campo Grande. He was intubated during the rescue. The policeman in the passenger seat was not injured but was taken to a local hospital for observation.
Military Road Police teams are on site to carry out the expertise work and identify the causes of the accident. There is no information about the health status of the truck driver.
