“Vijayakanth is like God to me. Haven’t met him in person yet. I have immense affection for him.
“I cannot bear to meet him in person when his health is badly affected. I wouldn’t be surprised if I died that instant.
“Had he been in good health now, he would have been the first person to help me,” says Ponnambalam.
“Sarathkumar sir is compassionate. I haven’t been able to pay my rent for months. Hearing that, he himself paid the rent.
I contacted Prakashraj only once on phone. Immediately he sent two lakh rupees. Actor Chiranjeevi is a great man. After knowing that my physical condition was affected, I sent two lakhs of rupees. He also sent a sound recording as a consolation.
“Dhanush saved my dignity. He did me some favors at the right time. I will call him and all those who helped me saints,” said Ponnambalam.
He says that he is indebted to all of them and will take a decision about continuing in the film industry after his health is fully recovered.
