After his visit to Cyprus and strong criticism of the excesses of the migration crisis, Pope Francis travels on to Greece. He is scheduled to arrive in Athens this Saturday at 10:10 a.m. (CET). The pontiff will first meet politicians and diplomats there, before visiting the Orthodox Archbishop of Athens and Greece, Hieronymos II.

In the evening, an encounter with clergy and a private appointment with Jesuits is on the program. The pontiff will continue to promote ecumenism in Greece. The highlight of the two days in Greece followed on Sunday with a visit to the refugee camp in Lesbos.
