Exhibition

Anyone who has always wanted to make a detour to the Sándor Metternich Castle in Bajna now has one more reason: an exhibition of Herend porcelain was opened on Friday.

One of the special exhibits of the exhibition in the castle is a rearing porcelain horse, a work dedicated to Count Móric Sándor. The former owner of the castle earned the title “Devil’s Rider” because he liked to break in horses that others didn’t even dare to approach. In the 19th century, the count’s seat in Bajna (in today’s Komárom-Esztergom county) not far from Buda was considered a charming place for horse lovers. Incidentally, apart from the current porcelain exhibition, a visit to the 2020 complex is also worthwhile restored castle building and a walk in the park.

In memory of the “Devil Rider”.
