Postponement of farmers’ tractor rally towards Parliament

by time news

Following a series of protests by farmers, Prime Minister Modi announced that he was going to withdraw 3 agricultural laws. He said the process would begin in the winter session of parliament. But the farmers have been camping on the battlefields, claiming that the struggle will continue until the agricultural law is completely repealed.

Farmers’ Union leader Rakesh Dikait had said that a rally of 60 tractors and 1,000 farmers would be held on November 29, the day of the start of the winter session of parliament.

In this context, Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar today said that a bill to repeal agricultural laws would be tabled on the first day of the winter session of Parliament (November 29) in response to farmers’ demands.

Following this, the farmers postponed their rally towards the parliament. Agrarian Union leader Darshan Paul said the rally towards parliament had been postponed as the government had promised to repeal the laws in parliament on the 29th.

‘We have written to the Prime Minister regarding our other demands. We demand the repeal of lawsuits against farmers, the guarantee of a minimum resource price, the payment of compensation to the families of farmers who lost their lives during the struggle, and the cancellation of agricultural waste incineration cases and electricity bills. We will wait until December 4 for the government’s response. We will then announce the next steps, ”said Darshan Paul.
