Tamil Nadu Electricity Board employees have announced that they will go on strike and rally against the Electricity Amendment Bill.
The federal government is expected to table a bill to amend the Electricity Act in the winter session of Parliament. In this situation, the employees of the power plant have declared protests in protest of the bill.
They have announced that they will march towards Delhi on December 15 and hold demonstrations in all the district capitals and in Chepauk.
They also said they would go on a one-day strike across Tamil Nadu on February 1.
