jpnn.com – JAKARTA – The rights, duties and responsibilities of Government Employees with a Work Agreement (PPPK) are the same as Civil Servants (PNS).
This was what the Secretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports (Sesmenpora) Gunawan Suswantoro said in his statement after opening the PPPK orientation activity in Bogor.
Gunawan explained that PPPK and PNS are both covered by Law (UU) Number 20 of 2023 concerning State Civil Apparatus (ASN), one of which regulates pension guarantees.
“To all PPPK employees who are taking part in orientation, I emphasize that PPPK is not ASN number two,” said Gunawan on the Indonesian Ministry of Youth and Sports website monitored by ANTARA in Jakarta, Wednesday, after opening the PPPK orientation activity in Bogor.
He also emphasized that PPPK should work wholeheartedly and not need to feel inferior, so that in the future it can focus on serving the interests of the community regarding youth and sports within the state institution.
Gunawan also supports all PPPKs who want to develop themselves to pursue further formal education and it is hoped that they will contribute more to developing the world of youth and sports in Indonesia.
“And this is what is important, I will be very happy if the employees go back to school to raise their educational level. I will allow anyone who wants to study again,” said Gunawan.
The PPPK orientation activity was attended by more than 100 participants and lasted until April 25 2024.
PPPK has the same rights, duties and responsibilities as civil servants as fellow ASN as regulated in Law Number 20 of 2023.
