This activity was carried out at the RUMI central leadership council (DPP) office Jl. Tebet Timur IV, South Jakarta, Sunday (24/3).
As is known, the General Election Commission (KPU) officially determined the presidential and vice presidential candidate pair number 2 Prabowo Subianto – Gibran Rakabuming Raka as the winner in the 2024 presidential election (Pilpres) contestation, the decision was made on Wednesday (20/3) evening.
RUMI General Chair Raizal Arifin explained that the thanksgiving was held to welcome the victory of presidential candidate number two.
According to him, this is important to implement considering that this victory must be a victory for all Indonesian people, not just a victory for a few elites.
“This victory must be a victory for all Indonesian people, not just a handful of elites, including our younger brothers and sisters from the Indonesian Orphan Foundation who also have the same rights,” said Raizal.
Furthermore, Raizal explained that RUMI had focused from the start on helping win candidate pair number two with an approach of touching the community directly so that the community felt the benefits directly.
This is the reason why the thanksgiving with orphans is actively carried out, even if it only provides minimal benefits.
