Alappuzha: A pregnant woman was found dead in a well in Mavelikkara Vettiyar. Swapna (40), a native of Vettiyar, died. The woman was found dead in the well on Sunday morning. It is learned that at the time of the incident, only Swapna, her daughter and another female relative were in the house. The police reached the spot and conducted an investigation.

Malappuram: Mother and two children found dead in Kottakal, Malappuram. Initial information is that the mother committed suicide after killing the children. Kalpakanchery police have started an investigation into the incident. The incident took place in Kuttipala Chettiam well near Kottakal in Malappuram. Twenty-six-year-old Safwa, four-year-old Fatima Marseeha and one-year-old Maryam were found dead.
Safwa was found hanging in her bedroom with her children nearby. The initial conclusion of the police is that after killing the two children by strangling them with a shawl, Safwa committed suicide. Safwa’s husband, Rashidali, who came after the information was brought to a private hospital in Kottakal by relatives and locals, but died.
Rashidali and Safwa had an argument at night. Later they slept in two rooms. A message was sent to Rashidali at four in the morning that we were leaving. It was concluded that Safwa committed suicide by killing the children. At 5.30 in the morning, when Eneeta Rashidali opened the door after seeing the message on her mobile phone, the three were dead.
