The United States Senator for the state of Arkansas, Tom Cotton, highlights the advances that El Salvador has experienced in public security under the leadership of President Nayib Bukele, which has generated stability in the country.
“Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele has brought stability to El Salvador by cracking down on violent gang crime. This is also good for the United States, and President Biden should support Salvadorans instead of turning his back on them,” said the legislator.
During his recent visit to El Salvador, Senator Cotton was able to see the positive changes that are being carried out under Bukele’s leadership. He had the opportunity to learn up close the conditions in which the gang members are held, who for a long time sowed chaos and violence in the Salvadoran nation.
Under the current administration, El Salvador has managed to transform itself into an international benchmark in terms of security. From being one of the most violent countries in the region, it has become one of the safest.
The success in the fight against crime is evident and deserves recognition both nationally and internationally.
