The price of light goes down. Tomorrow Saturday, August 2, the cost of electricity in the wholesale market (pool) exceeds an average of 100 euros megawatt hour (MWh) for 13 hours a day, reaching 102.33 euros per megawatt hour (MWh.) according to the Iberian Energy Market Operator (OMIE). This represents a drop of 3.3% compared to the previous day in the price of electricity.
For this reason, the consumer with a regulated tariff must know the price of electricity in detail in each of the hourly sections of the day, so that he can start up the electrical appliances in the home at the cheapest hours. With this, you will be able to reduce electricity consumption with the washing machine, oven or dishwasher, and you will save on the electricity bill at the end of the month.
The price of light tomorrow drops
The cost of electricity in the wholesale market is transferred daily to the consumer’s bill. In it, the costs of adjustment services, marketing, financing, tolls and charges such as interruptibility or auction deficits are also added, among others, records that Red Eléctrica takes into account to establish the average price of electricity tomorrow, September 2, which is published daily at around 9:00 p.m.

Price of light tomorrow and cheap hours
The consumer will enjoy a cheaper electricity bill at the end of the month if he takes advantage of the cheapest hours of the day. For this reason, tomorrow, Saturday, September 2, the cheapest electricity rate for the pocket will be at dawn and in the early afternoon.
Specifically, the hour with the cheapest electricity price will take place between 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., with a cost of 79.45 euros/MWh. It will, therefore, be the most recommended time slot for the consumer to connect their electrical appliances and thus be able to save on their electricity bill at the end of the month.

Cheapest hour: 15:00 – 16:00 (79.45 euros / MWh.)
Most expensive hour: 21:00 – 22:00 (131.31 euros / MWh.)
On the other hand, the hours in which it is least advisable to start the washing machine, oven or dryer will be in the evening. And, above all, from 9:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., when the price of the MWh. will rise to 131.31 euros.
