Tomorrow (Tuesday) will mark exactly three months since the Russian invasion of Ukraine and it seems that the end of the war is still far away. Attempts are being made around the world to estimate the losses of both sides in the war, but it seems that at least in the foreseeable future it will not be possible to estimate the magnitude of the losses.

For example, a few weeks ago, the President of Ukraine Zalansky declared that his country had suffered an astronomical sum of $ 100 billion – some of which would not be repairable in the coming decades.

At the same time, the Russian side suffered heavy losses, which the Kremlin certainly did not anticipate before the decision to invade less than three months ago.

In Russia, they refuse to update the death toll suffered by the Russian army in the war, and according to the latest figure from the Russian army, about a month ago, they claim that ‘only’ 1,351 were killed.

Estimates in Ukraine, on the other hand, speak of a much higher number – when according to the latest figure published this morning, according to the Ukrainian army, Russia lost no less than 29,200 soldiers, along with 1,293 tanks, 204 aircraft, 160 helicopters and 13 vessels.

On the other hand, estimates in the West speak of an order of magnitude of 7,000-14,000 killed for the Russian army – a number much higher than the Russian claim, and significantly lower than the claim in Ukraine.

At the same time, Ukraine is also trying to maintain the high morale that is thirsty in the country and is careful not to publish much of the mortality data of their soldiers.

It is estimated that the New York Times reports that since the invasion, Ukraine has lost 5,000-11,000 troops, compared to Russia’s claim that more than 14,000 Ukrainians have been killed.

At the same time, we note that during a speech by Ukrainian President Zalansky, the Ukrainian president claimed that in battles over the East in recent days between 50 and 100 Ukrainians were killed. Zalansky called on the West to increase weapons aid in an attempt to reduce the number of casualties on the Ukrainian side.
