Prime Minister Modi inaugurates projects worth Rs. 15,700 crores in Ayodhya ahead of Ram Temple Kumbabhishekam

Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Ayodhya yesterday to launch a series of projects worth Rs. 15,700 crores ahead of the Kumbabhishekam of the grand Ram Temple. The projects included an international airport, a railway station, and various road and housing projects. The Prime Minister was welcomed with a grand road show and later inaugurated the renovated ‘Ayodhi Dham’ railway station and Amruth Bharat train services.

Speaking at a public meeting in Ayodhya, Prime Minister Modi emphasized the significance of the upcoming Kumbabhishekam and the completion of the Ram Temple after a 550-year wait. He called on 140 crore Indians to light lamps at their homes on the day of the ceremony and celebrate it as a big festival.

He also announced the expansion of the ‘Ayodhi Dham’ railway station to accommodate up to 60,000 people per day and called for cleanliness drives in temples across the country on the occasion of Makara Sankranti.

Prime Minister Modi highlighted the importance of developing Ayodhya as a smart city to accommodate the expected influx of devotees visiting the Ram Temple. He assured that many more projects will be implemented in Ayodhya and emphasized the need to cherish and protect sacred places and heritage across the country.

The Kumbabhishekam of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya is scheduled for Jan. 22, with massive preparations underway for the historic event.
