Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu underwent a routine colonoscopy this morning (Friday) which was conducted at Shaare Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem.
His office stated: “At the time of the inspection, the Prime Minister was under cover and his place was filled by the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister Aryeh Deri, in accordance with the coalition agreements.
The examination was performed by the director of the gastroenterology department Prof. Eran Goldin, the anesthesiologists Prof. Yaakov Gozal, Dr. Dan Leibovski, nurse Galit Peres, accompanied by the Prime Minister’s personal physician, Dr. Zvika Berkovitch. During the examination, two small, benign-looking polyps were found, which were removed in their entirety during the examination.”
“The prime minister’s health is excellent and he has returned to full activity,” the bureau added.
