The DGP’s circular has come out regarding the banning of the Popular Front. A copy of this was received on the 24th. Kerala Police is preparing for tough measures. It is suggested that the station house officers should fully enforce the ban within the station limits. (Prohibition of Popular Front; DGP circular out).

It should be ensured that no payment is made in aid of the banned organization. Raid can be done anywhere. Officers from SI rank onwards are empowered to search and confiscate.
The order also states that property can be confiscated under UAPA.

It is proposed to confiscate everything related to PFI. Special branch assistance should be used for the same. The District Police Chiefs should report to the District Magistrates and confiscate. It is the responsibility of the District Police Chief to ensure that all PFI related institutions in the district are sealed.
