The promotion of the destination and the financial tools for tourist infrastructure were at the center of the working meeting, which the members of the board of directors of the Union of Hoteliers of the Province of Ioannina had with the mayor of Metsovo, Maria Christina Averof, in the presence of the authorized Tourism advisor.
The discussion concerned the synergies that must exist between all tourism-related entities in terms of the visibility, promotion and management of the destination, the major infrastructure projects that must be completed in the wider region, as well as local issues, which need to be resolved in order to improve the tourism product.
Also discussed were the possibilities of financing through the Recovery Fund and the funds, which are available from the Ministry of Tourism, especially for ski resorts, the Interreg and NSRF programs and the new program “Excoionamo” for Tourist Enterprises which also allows for hotel units of small capacity in the mountainous areas to be energetically upgraded and modernized.
