BRAC Bank has promoted three senior executives from its distribution network and finance divisions to the post of senior executive vice president (SEVP). This promotion is effective from 1 April 2024.
The promoted officers are Senior Zonal Head of Bank’s Distribution Network-North A.K.M. Tarek and Senior Zonal Head-South. Taher Hassan Al Mamun and Financial Controller of Finance Division Mohammad Abdul Wahab Miah FCA.
A.K.M. Tarek joined BRAC Bank in April 2017 and held key positions in Branch Banking. He started his banking career in 1997. Tarek completed his B.Com and M.Com in Marketing from Dhaka University. He also completed Credit Skill Assessment (CSA) from Omega Performance Corporation.
Md. Taher Hassan Al Mamun joined BRAC Bank in October 2016. He started his banking career in 2003. Mamun completed MBA in Finance from IBA University of Dhaka and BSc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering (BUET).
Mohammad Abdul Wahab Miah FCA started his career in 2002 by joining Rahman Rahman Haque (KPMG) Chartered Accountants as a Trainee Accountant. Wahab Mia joined the Finance Division of BRAC Bank in 2014. Mohammad Abdul Wahab Miah has worked in accounting and controlling, finance, business planning and budgeting, risk management, taxation, regulatory reporting, CL reporting and overall policy and process. He gained extensive knowledge of the Bank’s Core Banking System (CBS) and other subjects by performing duties in various fields. He is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh. He completed BBA and MBA in Accounting from University of Dhaka. He has the experience of participating in various professional trainings, workshops and seminars organized in the country and abroad.
