In Cartagena, the Attorney General’s Office began the year with an avalanche of objections, due to the lack of progress that former criminal judge and trial lawyer Bonifacio Corrales claims there is in the process of the first specialized prosecutor Pedro Diaz Pacheco.

Bonifacio Corrales assures that the first specialized prosecutor used, in the course of a criminal investigation, a false document that served to send his client Doris Jaramillo Bonilla to jail.

W RADIO learned that Doris Jaramillo Bonilla, client of former circuit criminal judge and trial lawyer Bonifacio Corrales, was declared responsible for the crime of kidnapping for ransom and was sentenced to 448 months in prison; She was also fined 6666.66 current legal monthly minimum wages and disqualified from exercising public rights and functions for twenty years. This was on June 23, 2023.

“What is happening with the Prosecutor’s Office in Cartagena? Could it be that we are in the presence of a cartel, something that I doubt. It turns out that three years ago before the judge of guarantees, the ninth, the undersigned, requested a certified copy against the first prosecutor Pedro Diaz Pacheco for the crimes of procedural fraud and falsehood and until now that process has not been moved; Not even the Prosecutor’s Office has deigned to summon me so that I can give a statement under oath,” said former circuit criminal judge and trial lawyer Bonifacio Corrales.

He added, “I want to specifically mention that the complaint has always been against the first specialized prosecutor Pedro Diaz Pacheco, of the city of Cartagena, and that complaint was precisely because the prosecutor used, used, in the course of a criminal investigation, a false document of all falsehood, that helped him to be able to keep my client Doris Jaramillo Bonilla prisoner.”

The defense of Doris Jaramillo Bonilla, who was captured on July 13, 2023, points out that the first specialized prosecutor Pedro Diaz Pacheco used false evidence to send her to prison; They also point out that she would have received a large sum of money to rule against her.

In the midst of the investigative process carried out by W RADIO, it was evident that the story of the events is framed in the alleged kidnapping that occurred during the purchase of land in the area of La Boquilla, about which problems arose between the two buyers.

Doris Jaramillo Bonilla sold a property located in La Boquilla to Jaime Eduardo Posada Ramírez, for a value of one hundred million pesos; Posada Ramírez paid the sum of fifty million pesos and received deeds issued in his name. Which the prosecutor points out were false.

Jaime Eduardo Posada Ramírez made a series of adjustments to the property, in turn requesting reimbursement of the money spent, after which he received threatening and extortion calls that led him to hand over money so that there would be no attempt against his life, this because He would have demanded payment for the arrangements he made to Doris Jaramillo Bonilla.

Jaime Eduardo Posada, the Prosecutor’s Office points out, would have been a victim of kidnapping for ransom.

“We would have to ask ourselves, is it worth more to have 100 bandits on the loose than to have one innocent prisoner? What injustice; That is not the justice we want in Colombia and even less in Cartagena, I understand that the former rector of the University of Córdoba is currently in a process before the Special Justice for Peace and they mention that prosecutor whom I am referring to referring”, pointed out the lawyer Bonifacio.

He reiterated, “that is why I ask the honorable Supreme Court of Justice and the prosecutor who is responsible for the distribution, to dedicate all the time necessary to see that in this investigation there is not a single material element of proof that Doris Jaramillo Bonilla committed the crime”.

In the middle of the hearings, Jaramillo Bonilla’s responsibility for the kidnapping of Posada Ramírez was deemed compromised. The victim’s attorney considered that the budget was in place to issue a conviction against Doris Jaramillo, “since the evidence indicated that she was at the scene of the events on the day of the aggravated extortionate kidnapping and knew what would happen at said meeting, since Otherwise he would not have made threatening statements to Jaime Posada in that scenario.”

The director of the Cartagena Prosecutor’s Office, Ibet Cecilia Hernández Sampayo, has not referred to the statements given by the former criminal judge and trial lawyer Bonifacio.
