Based on the appeal decision of the Jayapura High Court, NB, SL, AM and MF were sentenced to three months in prison and a fine of IDR 1 million.

“They were proven guilty of committing election violations by repeatedly voting on ballot papers,” said Jayapura District Prosecutor’s Chief Alexander Sinuray.

Alex explained that the convicts during the voting on February 14 2024 waited until there were no more people coming to the polling station to vote. After that they voted unused ballot papers.
