A group of employees and advisors linked to the PT in the Chamber are among the winners in the Mega-Sena da Virada
. The servers managed to get it right, guaranteeing a prize of R$25,000, distributed across 523 shares, the equivalent of R$46 per share. However, earnings will be reinvested in future attempts. The winning scores were 24, 33, 41 and 56.
The city of Ipira, a small town with 4,500 inhabitants, is the place where the bet contemplated hit the winning dozens.
However, this is not the first or second time that luck has smiled on PT employees. In 2019, this same group hit the jackpot and received the main prize of R$120 million. At the time, the 49 participants in the pool paid R$10 per share, resulting in a prize of R$2.5 million for each one.
Joaquim Carlos Carvalho, one of the organizers of the pool and member of the party’s leadership office, mentioned that since then the group has been successful in agreeing three corners and in more than one hundred blocks.
“Our group is a winner; we have already completed more than one hundred blocks after the 2019 award and we hit three corners,” said Carvalho.
Carvalho emphasizes that the secret lies in analyzing the numbers, stating that the winning dozens were chosen by him, although he does not reveal the method used.
“We have a group that plays periodically. This group is restricted to PT members, but when there are prizes of R$100 million, I organize special pools and then I accept the participation of nominated people, such as relatives and friends”, he explained.
The Mega da Virada 2023 draw took place on Sunday (31), in São Paulo, and the special contest distributed the largest amount in history: R$589 million.
The numbers drawn were: 24, 56, 33, 48, 21 and 41. According to Caixa, the main prize was divided between five bets (one made via the electronic channel; one in Salvador, Bahia; one in Bom Despacho, Minas Gerais; another in Redenção, Pará; and the last in Ipirá, Santa Catarina). Each successful bet will receive a prize of R$ 117,778,204.25.
The corner had 1,996 winning bets, each yielding the amount of R$70,083.58. The court will be divided between 164,379 bettors, resulting in R$ 1,215.71 for each one.
