Centurion: South Africa disband India’s opening alliance after scoring a century. India also lost Cheteshwar Pujara after Mayank Agarwal returned half-century.
Batting first, India won the toss and elected to field. But after returning from lunch, Mayank Agarwal, who had scored 60, was caught in front of the NGD wicket. Mayank returned with 117 for the opening wicket with Rahul.
NGD’s blow at the start of the second session
NGD’s good length bowl traps Mayank in front of the wicket. South Africa took up the review after the umpire did not call out. It became clear that the ball did not fit on the ultra-edge. Mayank had to return to the dressing room when it became clear that he was hitting the wicket in ball tracking.

Pujara returned with the first ball of the innings. Pujara was handed over to Ngidi Peterson. The ball reached the short leg as the inside edge. Engidi, who was worried about not being able to find the line and length in the first session, came back strong after lunch.
