Pune: A surprising incident has come to light in Pune district of Maharashtra. Here the electricity bill increased. The person kept circling the electricity department office. The female employee here asked him to come later. He went to the office several times but his problem was not solved. Later the female employee went on leave. When she returned from leave, an angry man killed a female technician of MSEDCL. The accused Abhijeet Pote has been arrested by the police and sent to jail.

Police said that the incident took place in Morgaon of Baramati tehsil. Rinku Thite (33) was allegedly attacked by Abhijeet Pote inside the office of Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited.

There was a complaint regarding increased bill

Rinku Thite worked as a technician at the MSEDCL office in Morgaon village of Baramati taluka, about 70 km from Pune city. Abhijeet was worried about his bill of Rs 570 which came in the month of April.

Police said investigation revealed that Abhijeet had a complaint about his electricity bill. He went to the office but was asked to come later.
At the time of the incident, Rinku had returned to work only after 10 days leave. She was alone in the MSEDCL office when she was attacked. His technician colleague was working in a separate office block a few meters away.

Abhijeet reached the electricity department office with a sharp sickle. He attacked Rinku more than 10 times. After the attack he fled from the spot. Rinku was taken to the hospital. Where during treatment he gave a statement to the police and informed about the entire incident that happened that day. Officials said Rinku was shifted to a multispecialty hospital in Pune as her condition deteriorated.

Rinku Thite breathed his last late on Wednesday evening. Police said that a case has been registered against Abhijeet Pote on charges of murder. He is unemployed and unmarried. Police is gathering more information about him.
