Africapitales is a new festival that celebrates African creativity in Paris through theatre, music and exhibitions. For this first edition, spotlight on Bamako, the capital of Mali, with Yaya Coulibaly. Grand master of Malian puppets and heir to an ancestral tradition, he presents his new show: The baptism of the lion cub. A mix of music, wooden creatures, tales and issues of our time. The baptism of the lion cub is on view from March 18 to 20 at the Lavoir Moderne Parisien, in the Goutte d’Or district of Paris. The Africapitales festival runs until the end of March 2022.
