On Thursday, January 27, Vladimir Putin will honor the memory of the soldiers-liberators and residents of Leningrad.
“On the day of the 78th anniversary of the complete liberation of Leningrad from the fascist blockade, Russian President Vladimir Putin will visit the Piskarevskoye Memorial Cemetery,” the Kremlin’s press service said in a statement.
Note that Putin regularly participates in commemorative events related to the events of the blockade. The Piskarevskoye Memorial Cemetery is considered the largest mass grave of World War II.
