Doha: Qatar is ready to ensure security at the FIFA World Cup, which starts in November. During the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Security Last-Mile Conference in Doha, Brigadier General Brigadier General of the Ministry of Home Affairs Safety and Security, who is in charge of the World Cup’s Security and Security Council, said that all preparations are in place to ensure the best possible international standards of security for spectators, players and officials from return to the country.

He also expressed the full readiness of the Security Committee for a safe and extraordinary World Cup. The conference was inaugurated by the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani at the Intercontinental Doha Hotel. The conference announces that the country is ready to provide security for the World Cup. Representatives of FIFA and the United Nations are also attending the conference, which is co-sponsored by international intelligence and security agencies such as Interpol and Europol.

The conference will focus on World Cup security, security arrangements across the country, cyber security, access to stadiums, team accommodation, training and travel. The two-day conference will conclude today.

IPCC to ensure security cooperation

Doha: The International Police Co-operation Center (IPCC) has been set up in Doha to ensure security for the World Cup. The IPCC guarantees the participation of all countries that have qualified for the World Cup. The center aims for security cooperation and information exchange. The center is staffed with skilled personnel, state-of-the-art technology and security facilities.
