“Queen of the Vineyard” – a tribute show to the late Ahuva Ozeri

The Municipality of Rehovot and the Municipal Society, in collaboration with the Association for the Cultivation of the Yemenite Jewish Heritage and Culture Culture, will hold a tribute show in early January, January 2, at 8:30 PM, in memory of the unforgettable singer and creator, Ahuva Ozeri.

The exciting evening will be moderated by the editor of music and radio and television, Shimon Perens, and will feature a Mediterranean musical cabaret with the participation of singers Yoav Yitzhak, Rami Danoch, Gila Bashari and Liron Ben Shimon, who will sing the best hits of Ozeri – “Valley of Flowers” , “That man”, “my mother my mother” and more. During the evening, rare archive footage will be screened for the first time, and the presenter, Shimon Perens, will host Ofer Pinchasov, the award-winning documentary filmmaker, who will share fascinating stories about the life of Ahuva Ozeri and her work.

The late Ahuva Ozeri is one of the pioneers of oriental singing in the country, she wrote and composed assets for Iron Sheep and in 2008 she won the ACUM Prize for her unique contribution to Hebrew song.

The event will take place in accordance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Health. Entrance to the hall by presenting a valid green mark: vaccinated, recovering, or a negative corona examination performed by a qualified medical professional up to 24 hours before entering the hall. A mask must be worn throughout the stay in the hall.
