Shakib Khan has been ruling Dhaka cinema for a long time. Shakib Khan’s reign on the single screen is old. But co-production movie ‘Shikari’ and latest movie ‘Priyatma’ also ruled the Cineplex. This Eid Shakib Khan starrer ‘Rajkumar’ is ruling the single screen and Cineplex.
Produced by Arshad Adnan, the movie ‘Rajkumar’ was released in 126 theaters in multiplexes and single screens. Apart from that, 10 more movies were released this Eid, but they could not make it to the single screen. However, although Mishuk Monir’s ‘Deyaler Desh’ movie got more shows than Rajkumar in the multiplex, the show of ‘Rajkumar’ increased as the Eid day passed. Along with the earlier shows, 1 at Sony Square, 2 at Bangabandhu Museum and 1 at Rajshahi were extended. In total, the total number of shows of ‘Rajkumar’ movie at Cineplex is 17.
The country’s largest multiplex chain Star Cineplex contacted Senior Marketing Officer Mejbah Uddin to find out how Shakib Khan’s ‘Rajkumar’ is going. He said, “Rajkumar” is doing well in all branches of Star Cineplex. We extended the show because it was going well. ‘Rajkumar’ is leading in advance ticket sales so far.”
Himel Ashraf produced the movie about love, family relationships and the story of a young dreamer moving from Bangladesh to America. American Courtney Coffey starred opposite Shakib Khan. Earlier this director’s ‘Priyatma’ was a blockbuster hit.
