The group stage matches of the Ranji Trophy cricket tournament start on Thursday.
The Tamil Nadu team, which is in the Elite Group ‘H’, will play its first match against Delhi in Guwahati. Apart from this, 18 matches against other teams will be played on the first day at different venues including Ahmedabad.
Due to the Corona environment, the match was not played last year for the first time in Ranji Trophy cricket history. This year too, the BCCI decided to split the match into two parts, after first encountering such an environment. Accordingly, the group rounds will be held in February-March and the knockout rounds will be held in June.
