Goa got a new life when Kerala faded in bat and ball. Kerala’s first innings ended with 265 runs in Ranji Trophy cricket. When play was stopped on the second day, Goa scored 200 runs for the loss of five wickets. Today’s curiosity is that Goa will take the lead with five wickets in hand.
Kerala started the second day with 247 runs for the loss of five wickets and got 18 runs. Rohanprem, who was at the crease with 112 runs, got out on the first ball. Captain Sijomon Joseph (7) and Jalaj Saxena (12) could not raise the score. Sachin Tendulkar’s son Arjun took two wickets for Goa. Sijomon and Basil Thampi (1) got the wickets. Opener Ishan Gadekar and captain Darshan Misal saved Goa who were reeling with 87 runs for the loss of three wickets. Both are at the crease. Ishan scored 76 runs off 154 balls. Darshan is at the crease with 37 runs. Sijomon took three wickets for Kerala. Vaishakh Chandran and Jalaj have a wicket each.
