Kochi: Actor and producer Vijay Babu has been booked for allegedly raping a young woman on the pretext of giving her more opportunities in cinema. The case was registered by the Ernakulam South police on the complaint of a Kozhikode resident.
The woman had lodged a complaint with the police on April 22 alleging that she had been raped several times at her flat in Ernakulam. An investigation has been launched into the woman’s complaint. A case has been registered against Vijay Babu on charges of rape and causing grievous bodily harm.
