Today, Tuesday, the Saudi Ministry of Health announced the suspension of an employee from work after he photographed a patient while she was visiting a health facility.
The ministry confirmed that the employee was arrested by the competent authorities and referred to the Public Prosecution to take legal measures against him.
In a statement, she said, “A reference to the video clip circulating on social media platforms of an employee working in a health facility, who filmed a patient during her visit to the health facility. The Ministry of Health affirms its total rejection of these erroneous practices and violations of patients’ rights, and will not hesitate to hold accountable the negligent and negligent regulations within health facilities, to preserve on patients’ rights and privacy, and on providing health services in accordance with health policies.”
