The 3rd edition of the Faso International Grand Prize for Communication, Translation and Innovation was officially launched this Saturday, September 30, 2023 in Ouagadougou, during a press conference.

The Ouagadougou International Grand Prize for Translation and Interpretation, initially organized by the International Study, Training, Communication and Interpreting Translation Firm (CITEFCI), becomes the International Grand Prize for Communication, Translation and innovation of Faso.
It is now organized in collaboration with the Association of Communicators, Translators and Innovators of Faso (ACTIF), with the moral guarantee of El Hadj Aboubacar Sidnaba Zida, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Savane Media group.

For the 3rd edition of the Faso International Grand Prize for Communication, Translation and Innovation, the promoter and president of ACTIF, Amadé Adama Soro, reassured that the principle of the competition through the administration of the tests oral and written is always required to decide between the different candidates for the official rankings, even if there is innovation.
“A novelty has been introduced through the adoption of special prizes in the field of communication and innovation. It is concretely a question of rewarding Burkinabè and foreign actors who have distinguished themselves in the fields of communication and innovation”, he explained.
Principle of the competition
“We have two categories of languages. The first category is the category of national languages: Moore, Dioula, Fulfudé, Bissa, Gourmantchema and Gourounsi. The second category is international languages: English, German, Arabic, Turkish and Chinese.

Those who opted for the 1st category, there is a text in French, common to everyone; everyone must translate into their chosen language. For those in the 2nd category, it is also a text in French that these people will translate into the language of their choice”Amadé Adama Soro further detailed.
The objective of the competition being the valorization and promotion of national languages, “we wanted the super winner, who would have totaled the most points in the different combinations, to be among the competitors in national languages”, said Mr. Soro. This press conference is synonymous with the official launch of the edition tests. Anyone wishing to take part in the competition has one month to register before the start of the events scheduled for October 31, 2023, recalled Adama Soro.
