The German company Deutsche Telekom has released an rSIM SIM card, on which you can record several communication tariffs.

As Day.Az reports with reference to Lenta.ru, this is stated in a press release published on the website of the PR Newswire agency.

According to representatives of the corporation, rSIM is a replacement for a regular physical SIM card, which has information about one tariff. A new development by Deutsche Telekom and the Tele2 operator allows you to record two independent profiles on one medium and quickly switch between them.

The SIM card is intended primarily for Internet of Things devices, in which a constant connection to the network is critical. If the signal from the main profile is lost, rSIM will switch to the backup one.

According to rSIM project director Richard Cunliffe, the new SIM card will be in demand in critical sectors. Cunliffe said that in 2023, about two billion Internet of Things devices were connected to the network, and in ten years this number will grow to seven billion.

At the end of February, Deutsche Telekom announced the release of the first smartphone with artificial intelligence (AI) functions. The device is completely AI-based and does not have any apps.
