The return of four villages to Azerbaijan should occur within a short period of time.

As Day.Az reported on Tuesday with reference to the Armenian newspaper “Hraparak”, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan said this during a closed meeting in parliament.

“Last Friday evening, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan held another closed meeting in the National Assembly with deputies of the Civil Contract faction. The meeting was held in an expanded format. Almost all members of the government took part in the event, even the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces Edward Asryan. The meeting lasted about two hours and took place in a tense atmosphere,” the article says.

As noted, Nikol Pashinyan openly stated that the return of four villages to Azerbaijan should happen within a short period of time.

“He hinted that in the coming days the third army corps could be withdrawn from these territories, and four settlements, which, as Pashinyan said, are Azerbaijani, could be returned to their owners,” the material emphasizes.

Let us note that recently the topic of returning villages to Azerbaijan has become very relevant in Yerevan in the highest circles, which actually indicates that Armenia accepts the new realities created by Azerbaijan in the South Caucasus and realizes that constructive steps are necessary to speed up the peace process.
