Trading on Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) ended the fourth working day of the week on Wednesday (March 6) with rising indices. On this day, the share and unit prices of most companies increased. However, trading in both the capital markets decreased compared to the previous working day.

According to the market review, the main index of DSE DSEX increased by 34.99 points from the previous day and stood at 6 thousand 166 points. The DSE Shariah Index rose by 2.65 points to 1,343 points. DSE-30 index increased by 8.63 points to 2 thousand 106 points.

A total of 396 shares and units of companies were traded on DSE. Among them, the share prices of 176 companies increased, 155 decreased and 65 remained unchanged.

A total of Tk 730 crore 39 lakh shares and units were traded in DSE today. Shares and units worth Tk 843 crore and 72 lakh were traded on the previous working day.

On the other hand, CSE’s main index CSCX rose by 30.07 points to 10,589 points. Overall index CASPI increased by 49.84 points to 17 thousand 442 points, Sharia index decreased by 0.31 points to 1 thousand 133 points and CSE30 index increased by 106.99 points to 13 thousand 130 points.

On this day, shares and units of 247 companies were traded in CSE. Among them, the share and unit prices of 110 companies increased, 107 decreased and 30 remained unchanged. At the end of the day, shares and units worth Tk 22 crore 72 lakh were traded in CSE. Shares and units worth Tk 12 crore 74 lakh were traded on the previous working day.
