Paducah Robbery Leads to Arrests of Three Suspects
A Paducah robbery investigation, initiated last month, culminated in the arrests of two women from Metropolis, Illinois, and one man from Paducah, Kentucky. Authorities allege the suspects assaulted a victim and stole their phone, leading to charges ranging from frist-degree robbery to complicity.
Paducah Police responded to a robbery report on November 25, 2025, in the 2000 block of Cairo Road. according to police reports, the victim was attacked behind a local business and had their mobile phone stolen during the incident. The suspects were reportedly seen fleeing the scene in a white passenger vehicle.
The victim sustained facial injuries but declined medical attention at the scene.
Suspects Identified and Charged
Detectives quickly identified the individuals allegedly involved in the crime as Janiyah McCray, Stephanie McCray, and Quante Askew. All three were later taken into custody and booked at the McCracken County Jail.
Quante Askew, 20, of Paducah, faces the most serious charge: first-degree robbery. Janiyah N. McCray, 18, and Stephanie N. McCray, 34, both residents of Metropolis, illinois, have been charged with complicity to commit first-degree robbery.
The specific details regarding the extent of each suspect’s alleged involvement remain under investigation. It is currently unclear what role each individual played in the planning or execution of the robbery.
