“In light of the events in the public domain, I have decided to disaffiliate from the Citizen Revolution Movement, a political organization to which I am indebted and whose leader, Rafael Correa, I have the greatest respect, admiration and loyalty,” wrote Ronny Aleaga, in his X account. .
The former assemblyman is wanted by the Ecuadorian justice system, after his involvement in the Metastasis case.
Aleaga, in his statement, issued this March 27, 2024, points out that it is evident “that the vile political persecution of which I am the object has also affected the movement and has generated confusion and divergence of criteria among its members. “Out of respect for my colleagues, I make this decision,” he added.
