The 22-year-old young man from Helmond, who was stabbed yesterday on Korte Lijnbaan in Rotterdam, has died of his injuries, police say. The stabbing took place on Wednesday afternoon at around 1:00 pm at McDonald’s. The victim was resuscitated at the scene and then rushed to hospital, Rijnmond wrote.
The young man would have been stabbed in the stomach and the interventions of the doctors were useless. Several witnesses who witnessed the stabbing tell Rijnmond that they saw a group of young men standing in front of McDonald’s wearing balaclavas, then an argument erupted and one of them drew a knife.
The nature of the deadly altercation is not yet clear.
