King Charles III is expected for church service on Easter Sunday. However, there will be a big change this time in terms of his treatment.
Despite his cancer treatment, King Charles III. along with his wife Queen Camilla to attend Sunday’s Easter service at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. As a precaution, however, there should be some safety measures in place to protect the sick monarch. According to the British Telegraph, the royal couple will sit separately from the Royal Family.
Many media outlets see the king’s participation as a “milestone” after his cancer diagnosis, as the “Mirror” reported. Charles had cut back in recent weeks and only attended a few select appointments. Now he is supposed to lead the members of the royal family on the way to the traditional Easter service. It will be his first official appearance outside the palace walls since his cancer was announced in early February.
Princess Kate should stay away from the church service
However, Charles will sit separately from his relatives in church in order to minimize health risks. According to the Telegraph, he will also refrain from hosting a lunch afterwards, as is usually the tradition.
According to consistent reports, Charles’ daughter-in-law Princess Kate, who is also suffering from cancer, will not take part in the service. Her husband Prince William and their three children are also expected to stay away from the event. As an insider told The Mirror, the heir to the throne’s family had completely different plans after Kate’s diagnosis: “The family just wants to go away for Easter, spend time together, all five of them, and isolate themselves from the world.”
